‘Waste Not, Want Not’ is a curated group exhibition where I invited twelve artists to exhibit alongside me.

The artists were selected for their contemporary craft practices and engaging use of materials. Their mindful environmental impact and choice to reimagine and repurpose materials by adapting traditional techniques to create unique contemporary art pieces.

As a result, this exhibition brings often-unseen contemporary craft practices to audiences in regional Victoria which seek to inspire new perspectives on creativity, and provide a safe and welcoming space to visit.

Ultimately, ‘Waste Not, Want Not’ serves as a reminder that we all have a responsibility to create and consume in ways that are more respectful of our planet and environment.

Somebody Else's Garden.... Inspired by the many walks around my neighbourhood during a time when we were not permitted to venture very far... all the gorgeous colours, patterns and textures appeared to be heightened by the senses, especially during that time. This piece pays homage to that time as I slowly pieced it together utilising items collected and elements created. My work celebrates the beauty inherent in the day to day. Through my use of mediums, I invite the viewer to pause, take a closer look, and appreciate the magic that can be found within nature and the everyday. A series of unique state relief and intaglio prints on kozo paper, Peacefulness 6, Peacefulness 2, and Peacefulness 4. Now on display at Geelong Art Space in my solo exhibition, "Pieced Together". Memories of exploring childhood picture books, enchanted gardens and the feeling of wonder inspired this piece as I played with collage, stitching and assemblage to evoke that feeling of wonder and whimsy. The title is inspired by Nina Simone and Jessie Ware as I was listening to their songs on repeat at the time.
